Now in its 26th year, this annual event offers beginning to advanced music workshops for players of both the mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer. Redwood Dulcimer Day offers a low-pressure, low stress environment where everyone can relax and have fun playing and learning about the dulcimer and just making music. We offer four 75-minute workshops over the course of a Saturday, plus lunch in the “Home Room” while we listen to the instructors give us a mini-concert. We also gather at the end of the day to play a few tunes together.
There’s also a faculty concert on Zoom on Friday, August 21st, and an in-person “locals’ jam” in Santa Cruz on the afternoon of Sunday, August 22nd.
Cost: $65 for a day of workshops, $15 for the Friday concert, or $75 for both.
